The families of the Dana Air tragedy were recently hosted to an information forum organised by the Nigeria Leadership Initiative (NLI) held recently at the Muson Centre, Lagos.
According to the CEO of the non-profit organisation Yinka Oyinlola, the forum was aimed at showing sympathy for the bereaved and providing ways to avoid similar tragic occurrence in the future.
There were several guest speakers who spoke on different aspects of the effect of the crash, among who were, Oba Nsughe who moderated the panel.
Furthermore, a consulting psychiatrist and a fellow of the Royal College, Femi Olugbile spoke on the emotional effect of the crash while highlighting the difference between grief, bereavement and healing.
Other speakers would include, Jim Morris a Boeing expert and Jibola Dalley a lawyer.
At the end of the one day programme, the NLI Safer Skies Initiative was launched, created to help prevent such an occurrence and to provide the emotional and legal backing needed by families to handle an eventuality.
Families of the crash who were represented thanked the organisers of the forum which they described as highly informative.
