D’banj Tells His Side Of the ‘Mo’hits Breakup’ Story

dbanj Dbanj Tells His Side Of the Mohits Breakup Story

We have heard a lot about the speculation, listened to insinuations and seen fingers pointed in the direction of D’banj as the arrogant superstar responsible for the Mohits breakup, but now he tells his side of the story to AyeniTheGreat of TheNetNG. He had a lot to say on what caused the breakup between him and long time friend and business partner Don Jazzy.
Read Some Excerpts from the Interview below and be sure to Check theNetNG for the entire Interview
“And that’s where the problem started. ‘Don Jazzy was no longer comfortable. You know, we were like fishes out of water, in this new system, starting all over again, like when we returned home in 2004.   I got him a place in the US, set up a studio there, just so he’d be comfortable and be able to work without going to hang around the studios. In one year Jazzy did not make a song. I said, maybe you want to go back to Lagos, you’ll get inspiration there? I was all about the work, I wanted us to make this happen, so we can bridge that gap and create a path for Africa. But Jazzy wanted us to go back home. And I understand. He’s my friend, my brother’.
But I never expected him to do what he did.’ He said to me in July last year ‘Let’s scatter Mohits. He told me there are two captains – two captains cannot be in a ship. I was like ‘that’s not possible, this is a marriage’. He said ‘then this marriage is no longer working’. I said then let’s go for counseling; I asked, so what happens to our children?’” TheNetNg

Mista Books Rescinds Decision To Quit Rap

Mista Books
A few weeks ago Mista Books announced on facebook that he wasn’t going to rap any longer, and that the rap business hasn’t really helped him much financially. However, questions remained over whether he was actually serious about hanging up the mic.
The Enugu State-born rapper and producer has just rescinded his decision to quit rapping and has admitted that it may have been a hasty one.
“I was going through mad stress and frustration”, said Mista Books in a recent chat, “It’s like when you put in so much and don’t get what you deserve. It was becoming too difficult for me to handle, I just had to speak out my mind, that was how I felt at the time, I guess I was hasty about it tho”.
He continued by explaining his present situation. “I’m feeling pretty normal right now anyway, some of my people have shown their concern and have spoken to me and I don’t feel like letting them down, I’m ready to continue with the music, I’m pulling myself back up”.
Mista Books also apologized to his fans saying, “My sincere apologies to my fans, my friends that have been supportive and have not wanted to give up on me. I wasn’t really thinking straight tho, I didn’t consider those that love the music, the community and that was wrong. But right now I’ve got bigger things on my mind, I’ve got a mixtape to put out and I’ve got to deliver as always”.

EL-HADJI DIOUF ARRESTED AT NIGHT CLUB

Senegal football star El-Hadji-Diouf has been arrested after a public fight at a nightclub in Manchester City.
The player was taken away from The Circle Bar by police at around 3am on Sunday, April 15, 2012.
The hot tempered footballer engaged in a serious fight with fellow football player Anton Ferdinand’s friend, who is now suffering from injuries sustained from broken glass.
A statement from Greater Manchester police said ‘a fight has taken place and a 33-year-old man was injured. He was taken to the hospital for treatments to his injuries to the side of his head and to the side of his neck, and he remains in a serious but stable condition.’
There has been bad blood between Ferdinand and Diouf since their playing days at Sunderland. In 2009, Diouf allegedly threatened to ‘knife’ Ferdinand after a bust-up on the pitch
Diouf, who had played for Liverpool and Bolton, was then sold to Blackburn.
From Blackburn, he went to Glasgow Rangers before moving to Championship strugglers Doncaster Rovers.
He has been accused several times of spitting on the pitch at opposing players and even fans.
Last year, then-QPR manager Neil Warnock accused him of taunting a player suffering on the ground with a broken leg.
Diouf was bailed till May 23, 2012 alongside five other men, who are believed to have a link with the fight. Meanwhile Ferdinand is reported to have been interviewed under police caution but was not arrested.
